Lately I’ve noticed that when I’m scrolling through Instagram and TikTok home decor trends, it feels that everything looks similar. To combat this, I love to add vintage pieces to our home to create a lived-in and collected feel. I described this in more detail in our Gallery Wall post.
The main take-away is: Do NOT be afraid to try using timeless and unique vintage pieces in your home. This is what will make your home feel curated and unique to you.
I love using books to style shelves. I really adore the collection of books found on My Unbound Bliss account on Etsy. They do a beautiful job curating hardcover book bundles. I’ve found that you can easily achieve a similar look by flipping your books against the grain.
Mixing Old & New
Additionally, I love mixing old with new. This is easy to do with vintage frames. You can use vintage frames, mixed with newer family images or landscape pictures from a vacation. I really fell in love with the brass frame (pictured below in the front.) It sadly sold out, but I will be on the hunt for something similar. You can also find beautiful lightly used frames at thrift stores.
I found a beautiful set of brass candlesticks, a candle snuffer, and a large candle holder, which would all be excellent additions to your coffee table. I’m also LOVING wall sconces right now and have been eyeing a few for our home. I found a great brass wall sconce on Etsy, linked below.
I’ve rounded up a few vintage pieces, majority falling below $50 and found on Etsy. I really enjoyed sourcing these items. As always, I love to hear your feedback.
