Do you need help finding neutral rugs for your home? Rugs make such a drastic difference to a space. They define the focal space and serve as a visual divider. Using rugs strategically in a small space can create the illusion of a larger layout. On the flip side, rugs can be difficult to shop for with their typically high price points.
I tend to gravitate towards neutral rugs that work in many different rooms with various paint colors, wallpaper, etc. Vintage rugs are absolutely beautiful! In my mind, vintage rugs are neutral since they work with such a variety of styles.
Vintage & Jute Rugs
I adore the vintage runner we have in our kitchen space. We were looking for something to bring in the blues of Lake Michigan. I found this at TJ Maxx years ago and it’s still in GREAT condition! If you’re in the market, I can’t recommend a good set of Rug Grippers enough.
Additionally, I’m a big fan of jute rugs. They are classic, relaxed, and comfortable! Jute rugs instantly add texture and warmth to any space. They also cost significantly less when compared to a large vintage rug.
My mom was the first person to share her love of jute rugs. I remember decorating my very first Chicago apartment together. My parents and I made many trips to Target. We came back with cleaning supplies, trash bags, (all things practical) and OF COURSE a jute runner 🙂 Currently, we have a jute runner in our hallway that leads to the bathroom. I love it! I think we will always have at least one jute rug in any of our future homes.
